Subscribe to Stafftax & receive Inland Revenue incentive payments

As part of the present Government's e-business strategy all UK employers will be required to file their Annual PAYE returns electronically with the Inland Revenue, either by EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) or by the Internet, by the tax year 2009/2010.

In order to encourage small employers (with fewer than 50 employees) to file electronically the Inland Revenue introduced a series of incentive payments to be made available to all those who file early. The scheme started in 2004 and was worth £250 per year in the first year. But it's not too late to benefit.

For the next four years £250, £150, £100 and £75 respectively will be made available to those who employ at some point during those tax years and file electronically. The next payment of £250 will be made during the summer of 2006, relating to the 2004/2005 tax year (which starts April 2004).

Stafftax, as part of the Enable group, was the first UK payroll service to offer access to Inland Revenue incentive payments and we were awarded the IPPM Manager of the Year 2004 for our work with the Inland Revenue on improving their electronic filing processes. All Stafftax subscribers automatically qualify for the incentive payments over the next five years.

More about Stafftax' involvement with EDI can be found on the page 'Enable Ltd; EDI Case History' on the Inland Revenue web site.
