Allison Halley– Payroll Executive

Before joining the Enable group Allison worked in the payroll department for one of the big UK supermarkets. Allison is one of our nannyshare specialists.

She has been married to Adrian, for seven years, and has four daughters aged between 9 and 21 and a gorgeous golden retriever called Ruby. Allison loves shopping and going out with the girls.

Brenda Nurcombe – Senior Payroll Executive

Brenda started working at Enable in September 2001 and has many years’ payroll experience.

On weekends and evenings she likes to swim, garden and spend time with her family and friends, and she has recently started going to weekly art classes. Brenda has three grown-up children and five grandchildren.

Tim Humphries - Payroll Supervisor

Tim Humphries worked in payroll at the Revenue in Worthing for nearly 7 years before joining the Enable team in November 2007.

In his spare time Tim is really into playing sports; in the summer he plays cricket for Steyning Cricket Club and in the winter he plays football. He also goes to the gym two or three times a week. When Tim’s not doing sports he enjoys film and likes to spend his weekends with his girlfriend.

Candice Johnson – Part-time Payroll Executive

Candice joined the Enable group in April 2002 and works part-time while she's studying for a law degree (LLB).

She has two young sons and has recently bought a house with her long-term partner Nathan who works in IT. With work commitments, raising a young family and doing a degree Candice does not have a lot of spare time, but she enjoys taking her boys on daytrips, and they have a season pass at the local zoo.

Jamie Ricketts - Admin Assistant

Jamie Ricketts joined the Enable team in November 2007. He previously worked as a support services assistant at a large tour operator in Portslade. Jamie has also worked as a guitar teacher in the past.

Jamie’s main interest is music, which takes up most of his spare time. He’s particularly into Indie music and likes going to concerts and gigs both in Brighton and London. His favourite bands are Radiohead, The Killers and The Smiths. While he was working for the tour operator he also took up snowboarding, which he really enjoys.

Hayley Rathbone – Senior Payroll Executive

Hayley joined Enable in September 2003 and manages the Tinies Payroll clients. She was a trainee accountant for two years before joining the Enable team.

Hayley lives at home with her mother and brother and in her spare time likes to spend time with her boyfriend Stuart and with her friends. She is the reigning Enable ten pin bowling champion!

Laura Somers - Admin assistant

Laura is a born-and-bred Brighton girl and before joining the Enable team in September 2007 Laura went to college and studied performing arts for two years.

In her spare time she likes to spend time with her boyfriend Josh and also hang out with her friends, going out and shopping. Laura lives at home with her parents and brother and sister.

Billy Gaston - Senior Payroll Executive

Billy first joined the Enable group in March 2001 and he has nearly 30 years payroll experience.

Billy is a supporter of the local football club, Brighton and Hove Albion and is a season ticket holder. Originally from Glasgow he also supports Glasgow Rangers. Billy is into music in a big way, and whilst he likes most music from the 60s onwards his all-time favourite band is Yes.

Billy has set up and also runs a local support group: The Goal Group, which takes up a large chunk of his spare time.

Kirsty Gorringe - Admin assistant

Before joining the Enable team in 2004 Kirsty worked 14 years in the motor trade. Kirsty fulfills a wide range of duties here at Enable, and is unoffically known as the the filing queen of the company!

Kirsty is married to Paul and has a young daughter. In her free time she enjoys spending time with friends and family and also tries to fit in regular exercise classes.

Lucy Allen– Senior Payroll Executive

Lucy worked in payroll for the NHS for six years before joining the Enable team in May 2005 as our nannyshare specialist.

She lives with her partner of 11 years, Robbie a salesman and their two cats, Jones and Norman. In her spare time she enjoys chilling out with friends and has recently taken up roller-booting. Lucy also likes her city-breaks, and particularly enjoys wandering around exploring a new city for the first time.

Nicola Kelly - Part-time Payroll Executive

Nicola has a background in both payroll (for a recruitment company) and in the catering industry before joining Enable as a part-time payroll executive.

Nicola and her partner Neil, a mechanical engineer, have a three-year old daughter. In her spare time Nicola likes to do "family things" and often visits the zoo and local farms with her family. She also plays tennis and is an avid reader. Nicola's biggest secret is her passion for karaoke.

Rachael Birch – Payroll Supervisor

Rachael is our nannyshare specialist. She has been working at Enable since 1998. Before that she lived in Chicago where she worked as a nanny for 18 months.

Rachael has been married to Kevin since 2000, and has one young son and three stepchildren. Juggling a busy family life and work means that Rachael doesn't have a lot of spare time, but she loves taking her son swimming and for long walks in the country-side.

Sue Gosney – Subscriptions Manager

Sue joined Enable in November 2003. She is the friendly voice you speak to if you have a subscription query.

Sue lived in South Africa for many years where she was a restauranteur. She loves dogs and used to breed German Shephards, something she's hoping to do again. In her free time Sue enjoys visting the many restaurants Brighton & Hove has to offer and she also swims regularly. She has been married to Bob for over 30 years and they have two grown-up children and a gorgeous grandson.

Kirsty Wild – Subscriptions Administrator

Before joining the Enable team in 2006 Kirsty worked as a holiday rep. But after spending four summers in Greece and four winters in the Alps she has returned to the UK to settle down.

Kirsty did a degree in sports management and enjoys a wide range of sports, such as wind surfing, snow boarding and running, and she also cycles to work every day. Kirsty is learning French and lives with her partner Gil who is a chef.

Mia Garbutt – Marketing Assistant

Mia joined the Enable team in September 2007 and previously worked for an online marketing specialist in London for 4 years. She has also worked in recruitment and even did payroll for a short while.

After her stint in London Mia moved back down to Brighton in 2004 with her partner Tony, who is a photographer. They have two young sons who are aged 3 and 1. In her spare time Mia likes to spend time with her boys and do arty and crafty things, she also likes to spend lots of time outside, on walks or by the seaside. She's also busy looking for an astanga yoga teacher near to where she lives.

Åsa Nilsdotter – Marketing Manager

Åsa worked as a free-lance journalist before joining the Enable group in 2002. As our marketing manager Åsa is responsible for the design of our websites and all printed material as well as advertising, PR and press relations. She also acts as the nanny agency co-ordinator.

Åsa is originally from Sweden but lived in Canada and the Netherlands before settling in the UK in 1998. She is interested in contemporary dance and also likes visiting art galleries and museums. Åsa is very seriously into yoga and more recently she has started taking cello lessons again.

Helen Harvey – Payroll Services Director

Helen is our longest serving and most senior member of payroll staff. She has 15 years' experience as a payroll manager and is a member of the Institute of Payroll Professionals (IPP) and IREEN, the Inland Revenue’s Electronic Exchange Network. Her claims to fame include being the first payroller in the UK to make a year end return by EDI. Helen was awarded the IPPM Manager of the Year 2004 for her work with HMRC on electronic filing.

Helen has been married to Peter for 18 years and they have one daughter. In her spare time Helen is learning to tap dance with her daughter. She is also a keen gardener and likes to do needlework. Helen likes to travel and is a longstanding supporter of the English Rugby Team.

Stuart Maclean – Managing Director

Stuart is a trained accountant with 28 years’ experience in corporate finance. He has worked in senior management for 18 years and was Managing Director of his previous company for nine years before joining Enable.

Stuart is married to Chris and they have two grown-up children and a beautiful grandson. Stuart is very interested in IT and also likes sport, particularly rugby (to watch rather than play) and golf. He and his wife enjoy dining out with friends and going to the theatre. Stuart also enjoys the occasional Murder Mystery Evening.
