Stafftax was launched in March 2003 as a sister service to Nannytax, the UK's original payroll support service for nanny employers. Together with Nannytax Stafftax make up the core services provided by the Enable group, a dynamic payroll services company dedicated to making payroll easier for small employers across the country. Together we now act for more employers than any other UK payroll company. Unlimited advice and guidance on all pay and employment issues are an integral part of the payroll plus concept pioneered by Enable.

History & Ethos
Nannytax was founded in 1993 by Stephen Vahrman, a former bookkeeper, who recognised a gap in the market of domestic employment and introduced the concept of a dedicated, user-friendly payroll service for parents employing nannies. When Stafftax was launched 10 years later it set up to follow in the footsteps of Nannytax, and just like its bigger sister at Stafftax we support our clients throughout the entire employment process.

Whilst we effectively representing employers we are keenly aware of the unique relationship that exists within domestic employment. We aim to provide support and advice to both parties so as to help build and maintain a strong working relationship. We are advocates of best practice in the employment process.

Championing Small Employers
As a leading spokesman on payroll issues for smaller UK employers, Enable is in regular communication with HMRC and several departments of government on a range of employment issues and policy initiatives. We are frequently consulted and quoted in both trade publications and the financial and family sections of daily press. Enable is also a leading contributor to the Institute of Payroll Professionals's (IPP's) thinking and policy, specifically on small employer issues. We are also the only representative of domestic employers to be a member of the Employment Consultation Forum*.

Payroll Plus
All of Enable's high quality fixed-fee payroll services offer better value for money than a typical accountancy practice, with a far wider range of client support and advice. The payroll plus approach pioneered by Enable offers not only unlimited pay-related advice and information but also specialist employment law support and guidance for the smaller employer. The latter is a must in today's ever more complex and litigious society, where statutory compliance issues and employee rights are essential considerations for every employer.
